Green Christmas

A Green Christmas to Remember

Despite the wet weather, the inaugeral Green Christmas went ahead with great success. Thank you to all who attended.

The community came together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and to learn sustainable ways to celebrate the festive season.

Design an ornament to raise funds for PatCH

Handmade Canberra is joining forces with loop, the new sustainable community with the Belconnen Markets at its centre to auction handmade Christmas decorations made by local designers. All the proceeds from the auctioned items will be donated to Paediatrics at The Canberra Hospital (PatCH).

Green Christmas Partners

Green Christmas at loop is a community event and would not be possible without the generous support of other organisations. We would like to thank the following for making Green Christmas possible.

Design an ornament for the Sustainable Christmas Tree

To help celebrate Green Christmas at loop, we’re encouraging all schools to join the fun by creating decorations for the sustainable Christmas Tree in the Piazza.

Get your thinking caps on for Green Christmas!

Are you a creative type? Do you like to tell stories? Budding writers of all ages in the nation’s capital could see their work in print thanks to a new competition for Green Christmas at loop.

A Green Christmas for Belconnen

Green Christmas at loop is an exciting way to get back to the spirit of giving this Christmas. Over five days, Green Christmas will revisit some of our favourite things about the festive period, but with a sustainable twist. The event will run from 8 to12 December at loop, the new sustainable community in Belconnen with the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets at its heart.
